Ship: ms Eurodam
To be delivered in summer 2008, the new Eurodam marks Holland America Line's next class of vessels and at 2044 passengers the largest ever constructed for the premium line. With an estimated all-in cost of $450 million, the new 86,000-ton Panamax Eurodam will be built at Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri's Marghera shipyard. Cruise Itinerary
Day 1 - Copenhagen
The center of Danish commerce and government, Copenhagen is one of Europes best-loved capitals. Visit the Little Mermaid statue and enjoy Tivoli Gardens, the 150-year-old amusement park. You can see the Danish crown jewels at Rosenborg Palace. Read More
Day 2 - Oslo
Oslo promotes itself as an outdoors city where the people are friendly and the air and water are clean. It also unashamedly bills itself as Scandinavia's top destination and proudly boasts that its summer climate 'outwarms' all its rivals from home and abroad. In fact its 'niceness' is perhaps the most lasting impression that most visitors take home with them. It's not spectacular and there are other places in Norway that are more exciting, but Oslo is free from the very things that makes staying in most capital cities tedious. It's compact but not too small, it's old but not in decay, it's expensive but there are ways around it and it's welcoming without being in your face. So if you've saved your pennies and want to see a slice of Scandinavian beauty, pack your bags, head to Oslo and enjoy... everyone does. Read More
Day 3 - Skagen
As soon as you arrive in Skagen you squint: everything is yellow the houses, the railway station, the church, the shops and all of it bathed in a sunlight which seems to gain extra brightness by being reflected off two separate seas and a desert-like belt of sand dunes nearby. The distinctive colour of the town's buildings, stemming from the cheapest form of housepaint available, is a shade known throughout Denmark as 'Skagen Yellow'. Read More
Day 4 - At Sea
Relax and enjoy your vacation onboard your ship. You can do as much or as little as you want.
Day 5 - Vik
The Norwegian village of Vik stands on a huge bay between the sea and the mountains of Sognefjord, and is believed by many to be where the Viking civilisation originated. Similarly to the nearby village of Flam, it is located at one of the most beautiful spots on the spectacular Sognefjord, 'the fjord of all fjords'. Read More
Day 5 - Flam
Located along the dramatic Aurlandfjord, the fruit growing region near Flam presents the incongruous sight of orchards and snow-capped peaks. Ride an electric railway into the mountains for breathtaking vistas. Read More
Day 6 - Bergen
Bergen is set like a jewel amid seven mountains on the majestic Byfjord. The historic Hanseatic Wharf and 12th-centry fortress gives visitors a glimpse of the influence of the old commercial center. You can attend a piano recital at the home of composer Edvard Grieg. Read More
Day 7 - Invergordon
Invergordon is the port for Inverness, the capital of the Scottish Highlands and junction of many routes. Over the centuries, Inverness was often the focal point of clashes between Highland chiefs, and the Crown. Today the town is a popular tourist attraction as well as a gathering place for the clans of the surrounding area. Enjoy the picture-perfect scenery and perhaps an opportunity to chat with a Highlander eager to introduce you to his fabled land and its rich heritage. Read More
Day 8 - Edinburgh
Steeped in tradition and culture, Edinburgh enchants visitors with its medieval castles and green rolling hills. Read More
Day 9 - Newcastle Upon Tyne
With a 2000 year-old history, and picturesque location in the heart of Northumbria, Newcastle is an awesome sight, with its River Tyne crossed by six bridges, each one with a story all its own - the latest one being Gateshead Millennium Bridge. The main shopping street in the city is Northumberland Street, and most of the top attractions can be seen on foot in the city center. Read More
Day 10 - At Sea

Day 11 - Copenhagen
The center of Danish commerce and government, Copenhagen is one of Europes best-loved capitals. Visit the Little Mermaid statue and enjoy Tivoli Gardens, the 150-year-old amusement park. You can see the Danish crown jewels at Rosenborg Palace. Read More
